One more

I have made another Alice in wonderland themed cuff. This time I have used a hand drawn image of The Mad Hatter, with two quotations. Again I have used recycled fabric.

Sea and sand inspired book.

This is my handmade book cover, made again with recycled fabric. Various fabric scraps have been attached to a material cover, free machine embroidery and fleece then added.

Bookmarks







These are hand embroidered book marks made for Tricia's textile challenge. Above, far left are the back and front views of a bookmark based on Where the wild things are. Left is The queen from Alice in Wonerland.

Scarborough fair

This is again sections of fabric with various lines of different stitches. These lines were randomly created while listening to Scarborough fair..

Working in white, Roofing tiles


This piece is inspired by roofing tiles. Sections of recycled fabric with a rolled over stitched edge, are joined together by long stitches.

Peacock inspired bag


This is handmade evening clutch bag inspired by peacocks. The back of the bag has two embroidered peacocks. Again it is made of recycled material.

Memories of Nanny

This is a box I made in memory of my nanny, I was inspired by a childs lift the flap book. Each face of the box has a memory of her life and under the flap a photo or belonging. The picture above shows a hand embroidered family tree.

Needle case May challenge 2009

This was my May challenge, create a nnedle case inspired by pattern. The above picture is taken from inside. It is an embrodered Koi carp.
This is the front and back. The whole case is inspired by the Willow Pattern, and handmade.
