Off to war

This piece shows a lone soilder surrounded by poppies. It is a small piece of print (from my own design and block) and hand stitching. It represents fading memories that should not be forgotten.

Finished printed bird and new applique piece

Hi everyone; i have final finished the printed bird collagraph. It has been stitched and quilted and a sand texture has been added using a white dye stick (unfortunately it is not that visible on the photograph)
This next piece "time waits for no man" is couching on vintage linen. I like to get a feel for the fabric and let it inspire the piece of work it becomes. This particular piece of linen felt sad, lost and forgotten; I therefore wanted to add to this by using a image of time passing.
